It’s been a while since our last TechTasters event, but we are back in action with a new lunch event every 1st Monday of the month at Ben’s Next Door on DC’s historic U Street. Our premier event will kick off the “Apps For Ben’s” iPhone app contest on April 5, 2010 from 12pm-3pm. At this event we’ll meet the the contest organizers Robert Newkirk of Applicist, DJ Saul of iStrategy Lab’s, and Pete Erickson of Disruptathon. We’ll discuss contest rules, share ideas for Ben’s app, and get a demonstration of the voting process from Disruptathon who will provide their innovation discovery platform using iPod Touch devices for real-time voting.

Come join us Monday, April 5th from 12-3pm as we launch our first event at Ben’s Next Door and help Ben’s go Web 2.0! The day’s events can be followed via Twitter using either of these two hashtags #Apps4Bens or #techtasters. You can add to the conversation on our live conference feed at http://twubs.com/techtasters.

Michael Jackson, The Beat Goes On

By Sojournals on July 2, 2009 | Category: General | Tags: , , , , , , , | View Comments

SoJo Solutions was very saddened by the news of Michael Jackson’s death and like many people the first place I heard about it was on Twitter via my iPhone. I was devastated by the news but I also felt that I was not alone in part to the real time discussions, tributes, and breaking news surrounding his death shared on Twitter and Facebook. I know the King of Pop will live on forever through all of the lives he touched with his music, his moves, and his continuous message of love and peace. Long live the King!
